Triple-Citrus Gin Fizz with Orange Bitters

Triple-Citrus Gin Fizz with Orange Bitters

Chill a highball glass by filling it with ice water and set aside.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz egg white (optional)
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 2 oz club soda
  • 1 lemon twist, for garnish
  • 1 mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a highball glass by filling it with ice water and set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, simple syrup, egg white and orange bitters.
  3. Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
  4. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well-chilled, about 10 seconds.
  5. Discard the ice water from the highball glass and strain the cocktail into the glass.
  6. Top with club soda and gently stir to integrate.
  7. Express the lemon twist over the drink, rim the glass and drop it in, then garnish with a mint sprig and serve. Always drink responsibly.
  8. This triple-citrus gin fizz is a bright, effervescent twist on the classic that celebrates peak citrus season. The fizz became a staple of warm-weather drinking during the early 20th-century American cocktail renaissance, and this version layers lemon, lime and orange for a complex, sun-kissed profile, with egg white lending a silky texture and club soda its lively carbonation — an easy, refreshing pour for a summer evening on the porch.
