Frozen Grenadian Nutmeg, Mango and Lime Rum Punch Slush

Frozen Grenadian Nutmeg, Mango and Lime Rum Punch Slush

Chill four glasses in the freezer while you prepare the slush.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 6 ounces white rum
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, plus more to garnish
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine
  • Lime wheels, to garnish
  • Fresh mint sprigs, to garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill four glasses in the freezer while you prepare the slush.
  2. Add the frozen mango, ice, rum, lime juice, simple syrup, pineapple juice, and grated nutmeg to a blender.
  3. Blend on high until completely smooth and thick, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust with a little more simple syrup or lime juice to balance sweetness and acidity.
  5. Drizzle a little grenadine down the inside of each chilled glass for a sunset effect.
  6. Pour the frozen slush over the grenadine, letting the colors streak together.
  7. Garnish each glass with a lime wheel, a mint sprig, and a final grating of fresh nutmeg.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw before the slush begins to melt.
  9. Grenada is known as the Spice Isle, and its fragrant nutmeg perfumes rum punches served across the island. This frozen version turns that classic Caribbean punch into a cooling summer slush, where tropical mango and bright lime carry the warm, aromatic spice that defines Grenadian drinks.
