Ingredients
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz hibiscus syrup
- Grapefruit sparkling water or club soda to top
- Ice
- Tajin seasoning for rim
- Lime wedge for rim wetting
- Dried hibiscus flowers and lime wheel for garnish
- For hibiscus syrup: 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water
Instructions
- Make hibiscus syrup: simmer dried hibiscus flowers, sugar, and water for 5 minutes. Strain and cool completely.
- Rub the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge, then press into Tajin to coat the rim.
- Fill glass with ice.
- Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake 10 seconds.
- Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Top with grapefruit sparkling water and stir gently once.
- Garnish with a dried hibiscus flower and lime wheel. Serve immediately.
