Ingredients
- 2 oz mezcal
- 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 3/4 oz agave syrup
- 2-3 slices fresh jalapeño
- Sparkling water to top
- Tajín or chili-lime salt for rim
- Grapefruit wedge for garnish
- Ice
Instructions
- Muddle jalapeño slices in a cocktail shaker to release the heat.
- Add mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave syrup with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Rim a rocks glass with a grapefruit wedge and dip in Tajín or chili-lime salt.
- Fill the glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail over it.
- Top with a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and jalapeño slice.
