Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 5 large eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar (divided)
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup whole milk (for soaking)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Ground cinnamon and sliced strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Beat egg yolks with 3/4 cup sugar until pale and thick. Stir in 1/3 cup milk and vanilla.
- Fold in flour and baking powder. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks with remaining 1/4 cup sugar; fold into batter.
- Pour batter into pan and bake 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Whisk condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk together. Pierce the cooled cake all over with a fork.
- Slowly pour the three-milk mixture over the cake. Refrigerate at least 2 hours to absorb.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar and cinnamon to soft peaks. Spread over cake, dust with cinnamon, and top with strawberries.
